Interesting Facts about Minecraft Camels

The Camel is a new mob that was announced at Minecraft Live 2022. Later, in the Trails and Tales update, the Camel was introduced as one of the new additions. It features a creamy, vibrant color and a unique sitting animation.

Here’s an interesting fact about Minecraft Camels that makes them very useful in the game:

• Camels are passive mobs that spawn naturally in the middle of Desert Villages.

• Similar to other rideable mobs, players can use a Saddle on a Camel.
• One Camel can be ridden by up to two players simultaneously, making journeys with another player effortless.
• It doesn’t have an inventory slot other than the Saddle slot.
• Unlike Horses and Donkeys, players don’t need to tame the Camel first before equipping the Saddle.

• Because of their tall legs, hostile mobs like Zombies, Vindicators, Hoglins, Silverfish, Endermites, and Piglins (that hold a golden sword) can’t attack players who ride the Camel.
• Camels can step up onto fences, wall bricks, and iron bars, aiding players in accessing different areas where fences or wall bricks are prevalent.

• Camels can “dash” by pressing and holding the jump button while riding. This allows the Camel to run very fast for a short period. After dashing, it requires a short cooldown before it can dash again. This feature is useful for escaping hostile mobs or simply traveling quickly.

• Sometimes Camels will sit after wandering aimlessly for a second. Once a Camel sits, players can’t move or push it (unless it gets hurt).

How to Breed Two Camels

Camels like to eat Cacti, so players holding a Cacti will be followed by Camels. Here’s how to breed them:

1. Hold at least two Cacti, one for each Camel.
2. Click on the first Camel, which will immediately reduce the number of Cacti you hold. A love particle will appear.
3. Repeat the process with the second Camel. The love particle will also be visible from the second Camel. Both Camels will then produce a baby Camel.

Overall, the Camel is an interesting and very useful new mob in Minecraft. Its unique abilities make it a great choice for traveling the world.

Minecraft Frog

Frogs Overview

Frogs are cute mobs found in swamps. They like to eat small Slimes and Magma Cubes. Depending on where tadpoles grow up, Frogs could have different appearances.

For example, if tadpoles grow up in cold places such as the snowy river, the Frog would be green-looking. This Frog is called a Cold Frog. So here are all the types of them:

1. Temperate Frog (Orange Brownish). Tadpoles who grow up in biomes where the temperature is not too cold or hot would become this type of Frog. For example, swamps.
2. Tropical Frogs (Whitish Frog). Hot biomes where tadpoles live would make them Tropical Frogs. For example, Desert
3. Cold Frog (Green Frog). As I mentioned earlier, Cold Frogs grow up in a place where the temperature is low (cold). That would mean snowy biomes. 

Frogs Behaviour

One of the exciting things about Frogs is that they can jump very high. They can jump over fences, stacked blocks, and walls. If you are planning to make a farm for Frogs, you might want to place a wall about 9-10 blocks tall, to prevent them from jumping. Or, use Honey Blocks to keep them on the ground.

Make sure you put Lilly Pads and Big Dripleaves because Frogs love them. They can move faster on water and cannot be drowned.

Frogs have a unique eating animation. They would shoot out their tongues to eat small Slimes and Magma Cubes. They also like to croak and inflate their vocal sac, just like real-life Frogs.

Another interesting thing about Frogs is that they can produce a bright luminescent block called Froglight. Frogs would only drop this block whenever they eat small Magma Cubes. Depending on the variant of the Frogs, Froglight could have a different color.

1. Pearlescent Froglight (Tropical Frog).
2. Ochre Froglight (Temperate Frog).
3. Verdant Froglight (Cold Frog).

You can use Froglights to decorate your home, room, or base.

Breeding Frogs

Breeding Frogs is a relatively easy thing to do. You can, however, breed different Frog variants.  

1. To breed Frogs, you can use a slime ball, and give it to each Frog.
2. Give it to each frog, and make sure they are in Love Mode.
3. Once they mate, the female Frog will search for a suitable spot near the water to lay her eggs, known as Frogspawn.
4. These eggs later would hatch into multiple tadpoles which then would grow up into Frogs.

 So that’s pretty much anything you need to know about Frog in Minecraft.

The Axolotl is one of the three mobs added in the new Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Update Part I.

Axolotl Overview

Axolotl spawns in deep and dark areas. Just like Glow Squid, Axolotl can also be found inside caves, as long as there is a water area somewhere. The player can find up to four Axolotls per herd.

Axolotls are passive towards the players. But they attack other aquatic mobs such as Salmon, Cod, Drowned, etc. If the player helps Axolotl killing these mobs, the player will receive Regeneration I for 5 seconds and remove Mining Fatigue (if the player got it from Elder Guardian).

Aquatic mobs that don’t get attacked by Axolotls are Dolphins, Turtles, and other Axolotls.

It took about two minutes for an Axolotl before launching another attack after killing a non-hostile aquatic mob.

If Axolotl takes heavy damage, Axolotl will play dead for ten seconds. During this time, Axolotl will stay motionless and even floating while regenerating health. Players can see the particles effect around an Axolotl when it’s playing dead. 

Also, during this time, a hostile aquatic mob that Axolotl currently dealing with won’t attack Axolotl, as if it knows Axolotl is already dead.

All Axolotl Variants.

Axolotls have five different variants: pink, brown, yellow, cyan, and blue. Pink is the default one, and blue is the rarest one (yes, it feels like a shiny Pokémon). They are all generally the same, only colors that are different.

An Axolotl can stay out of water for about five minutes before it starts suffocating and die. But, during rain or thunderstorm, Axolotl is safe on land. 

While on land, Axolotl walks very slow, and it won’t attack aquatic mobs.

Just like fishes, Axolotl can be picked up using a Bucket of Water.

Breeding Axolotls

Axolotls can be bred using Buckets of Tropical Fish. Buckets of Tropical Fish can also be used to speed up baby Axolotl growth.

Breeding Axolotls can be tricky. If you feed an Axolotl, your Bucket of Tropical Fish will become a Water Bucket, and if you’re misclicking Axolotl with Water Bucket, you can end up picking up Axolotl with it.

When breeding Axolotls, you have very little chance to get blue Axolotl.

Only in Minecraft Java

Here are a couple of things about Axolotl that only happening in Minecraft Java Edition (Tested in 1.17.1).

1. If you put Axolotl on a leash, Axolotl will move weirdly fast.

There is a bug where if you put Axolotl on a leash, Axolotl will move fast while still having slow-walking animation. This is funny since, in Minecraft Bedrock (1.17.11), this isn’t happening at all.

2. Love Mode is gone if you pick up Axolotl in a Bucket.

Another bug in Minecraft Java 1.17.1 where if you pick up Axolotl using Water Bucket while it’s in love mode, the love mode is gone if you place Axolotl back. This is also not happening in Minecraft Bedrock 1.17.11.

3. Implaing Enchantment works on Axolotls.

In Minecraft Java Edition, Implaing Enchantment will increase your Trident’s damage (melee and ranged) to any Aquatic mobs. Because Axolotls are considered as an aquatic mob, Axototls are certainly affected by Implaing.

4. Players can name Bucket of Axolotl, and the name will reflect on Axolotl’s name.

All you need to do is pick up Axolotl on a Bucket and then go open Anvil, put Bucket of Axolotl on the Anvil, then change the name. The name of the Bucket of Axolotl you just changed will reflect the actual name of your Axolotl as if you’re using Name Tag.

A Glow Squid.

Glow Squid Overview

Glow Squid is a new variant of Squid that has been added to Minecraft. It was added to Minecraft because it won The Mob Vote on October 4th, 2020. The other candidates were Iceologer and Moobloom.

The most notable difference between Glow Squid and Squid is their texture. Glow Squid has a bright luminescent texture and also produces particle effects. 

These particle effects have the same shape as particle effects you found when speeding up growth. Such as using Bone Meal on crops, Bee Pollinate crops, or you fed a baby Goat with Wheat.

Glow Squid isn’t glowing though, they just aren’t affected by darkness and yet have bright colors. Since they spawn in dark areas, they may seem glowing.

Glow Squid with and without Dynamic Lights. There are three options: fast, fancy, and off.

If you use Optifine on Minecraft Java, you can make Glow Squid produce light by enabling Dynamic Lights options in the settings. With Dynamic Lights, items that produce lights (Torch, Glow Berries, Glow Lichen, etc.) can produce light even when you hold it or drop it. 

Glow Squid spawns in the dark deep ocean. They can also spawn in dark caves as long as there’s water somewhere. Just like the regular Squid, they are passive and wander around forever.

When you attack Glow Squid, they will spurt their green ink (which is supposed to glow, I guess), and they will turn black for a couple of seconds.

Just like regular Squid, Glow Squid cannot be bred. But in Minecraft Bedrock, sometimes Glow Squid spawns with its baby.

Glow Squid’s natural predators are Guardians, Elder Guardians, and Axolotl. They will start an attack if Glow Squid is near them.

What Can You Get From Glow Squid?

When you kill a Glow Squid, it will drop 1 – 2 Glow Ink Sac. Glow Ink Sac is an item that can be used to craft Glow Item Frame. 

Glow Item Frame is the same as regular Item Frame. What makes it different is that Glow Item Frame has a different texture and, as the name suggests, it glows in the dark. Here’s a comparison.

Glow Ink Sac can also be used to make the text on a sign glow in the dark. All you have to do is click the Sign after you wrote a text. It works with colored text too. If you want to change it back (remove the glow), use regular Ink Sac. Here’s what it looks like:

A Goat.

Goats are one of the new mobs in Minecraft 1.17 (Caves and Cliffs Update Part I). 

Goats are a neutral mob find in the Mountains. Sometimes, Goats jumping to reach some places. The jump itself can be high. They can jump over fences and walls (even multiple stacked blocks). Because of this, falling damage is decreased by 5 Hearts for Goats. So Goats is pretty much immune from falling.

Goats have a variant too. It’s Screaming Goats. There is no difference in terms of appearance between a Goat and a Screaming Goat. What makes Screaming Goat different is that it rams more and makes noises (screaming). 

Another thing about Goats is that Goats won’t walk on Snow Powder. 

Goat Ramming.

Goats are also capable of ramming players and mobs nearby them. Here are the things you should know: 

• Goats won’t ram other Goats.
• It’s pretty rare to get rammed.
• Mobs won’t attack back after getting rammed.

The damage from ramming itself is not very fatal. What makes it dangerous is when the Goat rams players or mobs off of the Mountain peak. 

When a Goat rams a target, the target is knocked back pretty far from the Goat. Baby Goat is also capable of ramming players and mobs.

Even though this makes Goats look hostile, when a Goat is getting hit by players, it will run away.

What Can You Get from a Goat?

Mooshroom, Goat, and Cow produce Milk.

Right now, Goats are the third source of Milk in Minecraft. To get Milk from a Goat, use Empty Bucket and get close to the Goat.

There is another item you can get from a Goat. This item is Goat Horn, and it’s likely to be in version 1.18 (Caves and Cliffs Part II). 

How to Breed Goats

Just like Cows, Goats eat Wheat. To breed them, bring Wheat in your hand and approach the Goats. The Goats will follow you, click each Goat, and the next thing you know, there is a baby Goat. 

There is a small chance player can get a Screaming Goat from breeding.

Aside from breeding Goats, Players can speed up baby Goat growth using Wheat. The method is the same, feed the baby with Wheat.

The Hoglin.

Hoglins Overview

Hoglins are hostile mobs found in Crimson Forest and sometimes in Bastion Remant in the Nether. They will attack the players by flinging them into the air. Despite live inside the Nether, Hoglins still can take damage from fire and lava.

Hoglins are scared of Warped Fungi, Nether Portals, and Respawn Anchors. They will flee if they saw one of them. 

Despite being hostile to the players, Hoglins are breedable. Crimson Fungi is the only item to breed them. Baby Hoglins also attack the players, but they can’t fling the players like the adult ones. If players attack the baby, it will flee. Hoglins also can be leased.

Just like Piglins and Zombiefied Piglins, Hoglins will attack if nearby Hoglin got an attack. If a Hoglin stays out of the Nether, it will become Zombiefied Hoglin.

The real purpose of Hoglins spawn in the Nether is to provide food for the players inside the Nether. Hoglins drop Raw Porkchop and Leather or Cooked Porkchop if they die while burning.

Hoglins have 40 health points (20 Hearts).

Tips That May Useful

1. Always bring Warped Fungi with you

Warped Fungus Placements.

Since Hoglins are afraid of Warped Fungi, you can place Warped Fungi to keep you safe. But there is something you should know: you can only place Warped Fungi on Grass Block, Dirt, Coarse Dirt, Podzol, Farmland, Warped & Crimson Nylium, Mycelium, and Soul Soil.

2. Use Stronger Armor, Weapons, and Use a Shield

Use Stronger Weapons.

Using stronger weapons and armor makes fighting with Hoglins easier. Shield also useful even though Hoglins can still fling you up. It still provides protection and covers the damage you get.

3. Use Lead and Fences to Make Hoglins Farm

Since Hoglins provide a source of food inside the Nether, you might want to make a farm of it to produce food. There are things you should know: 

1. Hoglins still can attack you even if they’re behind the Fence or Wall. 
2. Hoglins that scared won’t breed. Suppose you have 2 Hoglins surrounded by Fences or Walls. Inside it, you put the Warped Fungi. They won’t attack you but, they will panic and don’t want to eat with Crimson Fungi you hold.

So, what is the best solution? Use Lead and Fence, and make sure they’re far from Warped Fungi, Nether Portals, and Respawn Anchors. A Hoglin that tied into a Fence can’t attack you and still can be bred.  

Also, make sure you place some Soul Fire items near your farm. Since Piglins in a large group may hunt your Hoglins.

The Strider.

Strider Overview

A Strider.

Strider is a new passive mob in Minecraft Nether Update. They only spawn inside the Nether.

What makes Strider unique is that they can walk on lava and don’t get any damage from it (they also immune to fire). Strider can be ridden by the player to walk across lava in the Nether.

Sometimes in the Nether, Strider spawns being ridden by its baby or Zombiefied Piglin. A Strider that being ridden by Zombiefied Piglin while holding Warped Fungus on a Stick is called Strider Jockey.

Strider loves being in lava. If Strider leaves lava (on land), the Strider will shiver, their body will shaking, they move slowly, and its texture would change. 

Just like Bee and Enderman, Strider is not immune to water. They can take damage from direct water, raindrops, and Splash Water Bottle. 

Strider only drops one type of item when it dies, which is String. The player can attract and breed Striders using Warped Fungi.

How to Ride a Strider in Minecraft

The player can ride a Strider if the Strider is already equipped with a Saddle. And before the player can control the Strider, the player needs to use Warped Fungus on a Stick. Here’s how to do it:

1. Find a Strider.

To find a Strider, go to the lava ocean in the Nether. Lava ocean can be anywhere at any biome, which is not hard to find. Make sure you have Warped Fungi and a Saddle. You can get Warped Fungi from Warped Forest or Crimson Forest (rare).

2. Attract the Strider and Equip the Saddle.

After you’ve found the Strider, bring it close to you using Warped Fungi. Then, equip the Saddle to the Strider. Note: Unlike other rideable mobs, you don’t need to tame a Strider to ride it.

3. Ride the Strider and Hold the Warped Fungus on a Stick.

After Strider is equipped with a Saddle, the player needs to use Warped Fungus on a Stick. The Strider will walk forward based on what the player is facing when holding Warped Fungus on a Stick.

It works just like Pigs with Carrot on a Stick. 

The player can also speed up the Strider by clicking Warped Fungus on a Stick while riding the Strider. But doing that will decrease the durability of the Warped Fungus on a Stick.

Tips When Riding a Strider

Here are some tips that might help you when riding the Strider:

1. Use the Basalt pillar.

On the lava ocean near the Basalt Deltas and Soul Sand Valley, there are some pillars made of Basalt. At the bottom of the pillar, there are Basalt blocks that players can use to stand on safely. Be sure to tie the Strader so it won’t go away.

2. Beware of the Blocks Above the Strider.

The player can get stuck into a block above the Strider. The player can get hurt over time. 

3. Beware of Lava that Flows from the Top.

On the lava ocean, there is lava that flows down. If the Strider passes through, it won’t take any damage. But if the player riding the Strider? It would be a disaster.

4. Be Careful When Riding Strider in open areas.

Ghasts are everywhere in the Nether. They can shot fireballs from the distance while the player riding Strider. Especially in open places.

5. Always tied Strider to a Fence.

Make sure the Strider doesn’t wander around when the player does other things.

The Piglin.

Piglins Overview

Piglins are hostile mobs found in the Nether. They can be neutral to the player if the player wears Golden Armor (this includes Golden Helmet, Golden Chestplate, Golden Leggings, and Golden Boots). Even if the player wears one of them, the Piglins won’t attack.

However, there are certain conditions where Piglins will still attack the player even if the player wears Golden Armor, so Piglins will attack if the player:

1. Attack them directly.
2. Break a Gold Blocks, Gold Ore, Gilden Blackstone, or Nether Gold Ore within 16 blocks far from the Piglins.
3. Open or destroy a Chest, Trapped Chest, Ender Chest, Barrel, or Shulker Box near them.

Piglins attack in a group, So if you provoke 1 Piglin, the others will follow. Just like the Bees and Hoglins.

Piglins spawned carrying either a Crossbow or a Golden Sword and they’re sometimes wearing Golden Armor. Piglins always attack Wither Skeletons, Withers, and Hoglins but they’re afraid of Zoglins, Zombified Piglins, and Soul Fire (this includes Soul Campfires, Soul Torches, and Soul Lanterns).

They sometimes will do a celebration dance after killing a Hoglin.

The Piglins spawn in Crimson Forest, Bastion Remnant, and Nether Wastes.

Piglins spawn in Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest, and Bastion Remnant. They usually spawn in a group, sometimes with the baby.

Even though they spawn in the Nether, they still can take damage from fire or lava.

The Piglins attracted to Gold items.

Piglins are attracted to Gold related items. So, if you drop one of them in front of Piglins, they will run and take it and sometimes even use it. They’re also snorting when the player holds a Gold related item near them.

Unlike any hostile mob, Piglins can open and close Wooden Doors (Fence Gates not included). They can also use some equipable items like Armor parts.

Baby Piglins are passive, but make sure you don’t attack them near the adult Piglins. The Baby Piglins also cannot grow up into an adult Piglin.

If Piglins stay on Overworld (Normal World) or the End they will become Zombified Piglins.

Players can trade items with the adult Piglins using a Gold Ingot.

Piglins have a variant too, the Brute Piglins. So, what makes Brute Piglins different than the normal Piglins in Minecraft?

1. Brute Piglins only spawn in the Bastion Remnant

Unlike the normal Piglins spawn in Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest, and Bastion Remnant.

2. Brute Piglins use Golden Ax only, and they never use armor

While normal Piglins use Crossbow and Golden Sword as their weapon, Brute Piglins only use Golden Ax as their weapon and never spawn with Gold armor.

3. Brute Piglins are way stronger and smarter compared to normal Piglins

Brute Piglins deal heavy damage and they have more health too. They also smarter, they won’t be distracted with Gold items. Brute Piglins won’t run from Soul Fire, Zoglin, and Zombiefied Piglins.

I guess it safe to say that Brute Piglins are bosses among the normal Piglins. 2 things that are noticeable from Brute Piglins from normal Piglins are that they wear black clothes and use Golden Ax.

Piglin melee damage (without wearing armor) based on the difficulty setting (Bedrock Edition):

• Easy: 5 (2 and a half hearts)
• Normal: 8 (4 and a half hearts)
• Hard: 12 (6 and a half hearts)

Ranged: 1 – 5 (a half heart to 2 and a half heart)

Brute Piglins HP (Hit Point) or Health is 50 (25 Hearts).

Brute Piglin melee damage (without wearing armor) based on the difficulty setting (Java Edition):

• Easy: 7 (4 and a half hearts)
• Normal: 13 (6 and a half hearts)
• Hard: 19 (9 and a half hearts)

Brute Piglin melee damage (without wearing armor) based on the difficulty setting (Bedrock Edition):

• Easy: 6 (3 Hearts)
• Normal: 10 (5 Hearts)
• Hard: 15 (7 and a half hearts)

Piglins may drop a Crossbow, Golden Sword, Golden Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and, Boots. While Brute Piglins only may drop a Golden Ax.

How to Barter with a Piglin

To trade an item with a Piglin, you need a Gold Ingot and the Piglin, of course. But make sure you wear Golden Armor parts to make the Piglins neutral.

After that, throw Golden Ingot at the Piglin or right-click Piglins with Gold Ingot in your hand. Let it examine it for a second. And they will throw you random items with a random amount. The items include:

Piglins Minecraft Tips

Here are some tips that might help you when you meet the Piglins in Minecraft.

1. Use Golden Armor parts

It can be Boots or other parts, the thing is, you don’t want the Piglins suddenly attack you when you’re walking around the Nether. 

2. Use Shield and Stronger Weapon

Shield, combined with Nether Sword, for example, can help when fighting with Piglins and Brute Piglins. But you still have to watch your back.

3. Use Soul Fire-related items (or Soul Fire itself) to scare Piglins away

Probably the safest and effective way to defeat them. Set up a Soul Campfire and start attack and retreat. 

You can also place Soul Torch or Soul Lantern when they attack in a large group. You will be safe.

4. Go near the Zombified Piglins for safety

Since Piglins are afraid of Zombified Piglins and Zombified Piglins are neutral (as long as you don’t attack them) you, will be saved from The Piglins. 

5. Throw Gold related items at the Piglins to make them busy for a second

Like I said before, Piglins are obsessed with Golds. When you throw Gold related items at them, they will examine them for a second. In that period, they will only be focused on the Gold (distracted). 

When they are distracted, you can do pretty much anything you can’t do when they aren’t distracted. Like mining Nether Gold Ore, open up a Chest, or even attack them.

But Keep in mind, the distraction lasts about 7 – 8 seconds. Also, I would suggest using the Gold Ingots.

6. Throw Gold Ingots as many as you want, if you want a continuous barter

The Piglins will take the Gold Ingots as long as they’re on the ground. They will take it, examine it, and give random items. They will repeat this over and over. 

7. Be prepared when about to enter the Bastion Remnant

Since Bastion Remnant like a ruin, it would be tough to move and run while Brute Piglins and Piglins walking around. They are also some “trap” in the inside, like Gold Blocks, Gilded Blackstone, and Chest. It makes you want to take them, which leads to provocations. Don’t be greedy.

The Bee.

Bees Overview

Bees are new mobs that have been added to Minecraft 1.14 (Bedrock) and 1.15 (Java). Bees are neutral mobs, which means Bees won’t attack you unless you disturb them. They will start to attack you if: you destroyed their nest, harvesting their nest, or you attacked them. 

Bee works in the colony, so if 1 Bee is angry and attacks you, the rest of the Bees will follow.

You will get a poison effect if you are attacked by Bees. This effect lasts based on your difficulty level. And after about 1 minute after Bee attacked you, the Bee will die.

Bees naturally live in Bee Nest, but you can move them into Beehive. Bee Nest generated in Plains, Forest, Flower Forest, and Birch Forest. Up to 3 Bees can live in 1 Bee Nest or Beehive.

Bees also considered Arthropods mobs. That means Bees can take damage from Bane of Arthropods enchantment. 

Just like Enderman, when Bees touch water, they get hurt.

Getting Honey From Bees

How to harvest honey from Bee Nest or Bee Hive.

Just like in the real world, you can also get Honey from Bees in Minecraft. 

To get Honey, you need an empty Bottle and a Campfire. After that, try to find a full Bee Nest or Beehive. Place the Campfire under it and click it while holding an empty Bottle. The Bees inside the Hive/Nest will attack if you’re not placing a Campfire.

Honey

You can drink the Honey to remove the Poison effect. It also fills 3 Hunger Bars.

Honeycomb

Honeycomb is another item you can get from Bee Nest or Beehive besides Honey. It used to craft Beehive. To get it, use Shears on full Bee Nest or Beehive.

Bees Behavior

Bees come out from Bee Nest or Beehive every day to collect pollen from flowers. 

It takes 30 seconds for a Bee to collect pollen from a flower, and they return to their nest to fill it up.

They will return to their nest when it rains or at night.

Breeding Bees

To breed Bees, you can use any type of flowers, including Wither Rose. Bees will rest on the ground when you hold a flower, which makes breeding Bees easier.

Click each Bee with your flower (make sure you see love particles on each Bee) and wait for a second.

The Witch.

Witch Overview

The Witch Inside the Witch Hut.

Witch is a hostile mob that throws harmful Potions to hurt the player. Witches are dangerous. They can deal too much damage to the player and weaken the player. Witches could heal themselves if they got hurt too. It would make Witch tougher to fight.

They usually throw Splash Potion of Slowness to the player (so they can chase the player) and then throw Potion of Poison, which will be severe if the player doesn’t run immediately.

Sometimes they can even throw Splash Potion of Weakness (to weaken the player’s melee damage) or Splash Potion of Harming to give the player instant damage.

Witches spawn in dark places, especially during the night, just like Zombies and Skeletons. 

Home of the Witch, The Witch Hut.

Witches have their own generated structure called Witch Hut, and they spawn in it too. Witch Hut is only generated in the Swamp biome. On the inside, you can find a Black Cat, the Witch itself, a Crafting Table, and a Cauldron (it may have a Potion in it if you play on Minecraft Bedrock).

They can also spawn in a Raid. In the Java Edition of Minecraft, Witch will be spawned on wave 3. On the other hand, in Minecraft Bedrock, Witch will spawn on wave 4. If a Villager (or baby Villager) got struck by lightning, it becomes a Witch. Witches cannot burn under the sunlight.

Witch Stats

Witch HP (hit points) or health is 26 (13 Hearts).

The damage a Witch can cause:

Splash Potion of Poison for 44 seconds. It cost you 1 (a half heart) damage per 1.25 seconds. But the effect would stop when your health is 1 (a half heart).

Splash Potion of Harming can deal with 6 (3 hearts) damage.

Since Witch can heal itself, the hits/attacks are varies based on how fast you attack the Witch and what kind of weapon you use.

Witch Drop Items

Witches usually drop brewing-related items or even the Potions. To get better drop items and multiply the drop items, try to use Looting Enchantment for Sword.

There are some chances that Witch may drop these items:

• Gunpowder
• Potion of Fire Resistance (rare)
• Sticks
• Glass bottles
• Potion of Swiftness (rare)
• Redstone
• Spider Eye
• Glowstone Dust
• Sugar
• Potion of Healing (rare)
• Potion of Water Breathing (rare)

Tips For Fighting The Witch

Here are some tips to fight the Witch:

1. Try to attack faster. Since the Witch can’t attack while drinking a healing potion, you can use that opportunity to attack. But make sure you kill the Witch before the Witch throws you harmful Potions.

2. Bring a Bucket of Milk with you. It would help you a lot, since you may get Slowed or Poisoned. It’s so important to get rid of those status effects quickly. Note: The Witch may throw you another splash potion again after you drink the milk, so be careful.

3. Use a ranged weapon (this includes Bow, Crossbow, or Trident). The Witch won’t attack you if you attack it from the distance. The Witch can still heal itself though, so make sure you do it faster.

4. Hold a Totem of Undying. Since fighting Witches can be tough, especially if there are other mobs like Skeleton, Zombies, or Pillager on the Raid. Use Totem of Undying to resurrect you if anything goes wrong. But remember, using Totem of Undying also means sacrificing the ability to hold a Shield. Use it at the right time.

5. Use a stronger weapon. With a stronger weapon, you deal more damage and make the game easier. Also, try to Enchant it too.
