Frogs Overview

Frogs are cute mobs found in swamps. They like to eat small Slimes and Magma Cubes. Depending on where tadpoles grow up, Frogs could have different appearances.

For example, if tadpoles grow up in cold places such as the snowy river, the Frog would be green-looking. This Frog is called a Cold Frog. So here are all the types of them:

1. Temperate Frog (Orange Brownish). Tadpoles who grow up in biomes where the temperature is not too cold or hot would become this type of Frog. For example, swamps.
2. Tropical Frogs (Whitish Frog). Hot biomes where tadpoles live would make them Tropical Frogs. For example, Desert
3. Cold Frog (Green Frog). As I mentioned earlier, Cold Frogs grow up in a place where the temperature is low (cold). That would mean snowy biomes. 

Frogs Behaviour

One of the exciting things about Frogs is that they can jump very high. They can jump over fences, stacked blocks, and walls. If you are planning to make a farm for Frogs, you might want to place a wall about 9-10 blocks tall, to prevent them from jumping. Or, use Honey Blocks to keep them on the ground.

Make sure you put Lilly Pads and Big Dripleaves because Frogs love them. They can move faster on water and cannot be drowned.

Frogs have a unique eating animation. They would shoot out their tongues to eat small Slimes and Magma Cubes. They also like to croak and inflate their vocal sac, just like real-life Frogs.

Another interesting thing about Frogs is that they can produce a bright luminescent block called Froglight. Frogs would only drop this block whenever they eat small Magma Cubes. Depending on the variant of the Frogs, Froglight could have a different color.

1. Pearlescent Froglight (Tropical Frog).
2. Ochre Froglight (Temperate Frog).
3. Verdant Froglight (Cold Frog).

You can use Froglights to decorate your home, room, or base.

Breeding Frogs

Breeding Frogs is a relatively easy thing to do. You can, however, breed different Frog variants.  

1. To breed Frogs, you can use a slime ball, and give it to each Frog.
2. Give it to each frog, and make sure they are in Love Mode.
3. Once they mate, the female Frog will search for a suitable spot near the water to lay her eggs, known as Frogspawn.
4. These eggs later would hatch into multiple tadpoles which then would grow up into Frogs.

 So that’s pretty much anything you need to know about Frog in Minecraft.
