Information About 1.18 Seeds

Last Updated on: 26th June 2022

As you already know, Minecraft 1.18 is just got released. The update features a new world generation system, this changed how worlds are generated and Minecraft terrain completely.

For many Minecraft players, updating their Minecraft World from the previous version should be easy and error-free. It must be, Minecraft is played by nearly 140 million players worldwide monthly, according to Wikipedia. Managed and handled carefully by Mojang Studios for years. So yeah, their old world should be fine.

But, for people like me and speedrunners (I think), this second part of Caves & Cliffs Update is a little disappointing. The problem is that old seeds (from 1.17 or older) won’t work on this update.

You can, however, use the old seed from 1.17 for a while then, upgrading it to 1.18 (but I don’t think most people would do this).

Because of this, all seeds on this website are nearly useless. So I’m planning to delete all 1.17 slowly while posting the new 1.18.

Moving from 1.17 to 1.18

You will see a sign above the seed code that reminds you that this 1.17 won’t work with 1.18. This sign will show up on every 1.17 seeds.

Whenever four 1.18 seeds are uploaded (two for each edition), four 1.17 seeds will be deleted.

You might ask, why don’t you keep 1.17 seeds on the site? Well, each post, especially the seed post is taking server resources quite “heavily” So, keeping them on the site won’t be beneficial for the long term.

For 1.18 seeds could take over the 1.17 seeds, it requires a lot of time. Finding a “decent” seed is like rolling a dice (except it’s more time-consuming and tedious).

I should mention that the main page for Bedrock and Java Seeds (Minecraft: Bedrock Seeds and Minecraft: Java Seeds) would have 1.17 and 1.18 seeds combined during this transition.

If you are a visitor coming from Bing, Google, or else. I’m very sorry if you can’t find the 1.18 seeds you want or if there is a lack of 1.18 seeds when you visit this website. As time goes by, more and more 1.18 seeds will be available to try.

Thank You.
