Respawn Anchor Overview
Respawn Anchor is a new item in Minecraft Nether Update. You can use Respawn Anchor to make a Respawn Point in other Minecraft dimensions (Nether or The End).
So, whenever you died, you will respawn next to Respawn Anchor.
You can’t use Respawn Anchor in the overworld. As you know, you need Bed to change the Respawn Point in the overworld by either clicking on it or sleep on it. But if you proceed, the Respawn Anchor will explode.
How to Craft Respawn Anchor
To craft a Respawn Anchor, you need 6 Crying Obsidians and 3 Glowstones. You can get Crying Obsidian from the Ruined Portal, Bastion Remnant Chest, or trade with the Piglins inside the Nether.
How to Use Respawn Anchor
Respawn Anchor only works when it charged up at least 1 Glowstone (with a maximum of 4). To do this, you need to put Respawn Anchor either in the Nether or the End. Then click the Respawn Anchor while holding the Glowstone. The Respawn Anchor will light up and showing the Nether Portal effect on the top. Click the Respawn Anchor. There will be a prompt “Respawn Point Set” then you good to go.
There are indicators located on each side of the Respawn Anchor. It tells you how many Glowstones you have used. Every time you died, it decreased by 1. If the Respawn Point Glowstone level reaches 0, you will respawn in the overworld. The more you charged the Respawn Anchor, the more Respawn Anchor gets brighten.
Respawn Anchor Tips
1. Make sure you place Respawn Anchor in a safe place since there are many hostile mobs, Lava, and Fire everywhere in the Nether and Enderman in the End. I recommend you build a building to cover the Respawn Anchor to keep you safe after respawning.
2. Don’t block the respawn area in your Respawn Anchor. Respawn Anchor can’t be working if its respawns area is completely covered/blocked by any blocks. If this happens, the Respawn Anchor will no longer work and, you will respawn in a place before you use the Respawn Anchor. And you will get the message “Respawn Anchor is obstructed” So make sure you leave some space for Respawn Anchor to make it work.
